Ocean City, Maryland’s Sunfest waves goodbye to another summer with its 38th annual event, set for Sept. 20-23 at the Ocean City Boardwalk and Inlet located at 809 S. Atlantic Ave.

The four-day festival features a variety of food, live music, arts and crafts, hayrides, beach games and more. Sunfest has been rated by Sunshine Artist, "America's Premier Show and Festival Magazine," as the No. 1 traditional art and craft show in the nation.

Sunfest’s headline entertainment kicks off at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, under the big-top tent at the Ocean City Inlet with Sha Na Na. The vintage doo-wop and rock-and-roll group will perform its four decades of hits within a dynamic and crowd-pleasing show, sure to invoke memories of the group’s appearances at the original Woodstock and in the classic movie “Grease.”

Acclaimed country music group LoneStar hits the stage Friday, Sept. 21, at 8:00 p.m. The platinum-selling quartet will perform their numerous chart-topping songs as the group preps a new studio album for 2012.

After a one-year wait, Ocean City finally welcomes Bret Michaels on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 8:00 p.m. The former Poison frontman and reality television star was originally set to headline the 2011 festival before having to reschedule for this year. Michaels will entertain the resort crowd with a variety of music spanning his career as a successful group member of one of the 80s’ most popular acts and as a current solo star.
